Our Heritage

Queen Emma Gardens has been a fixture of downtown Honolulu since its completion in 1964. Designed by renowned architect Minoru Yamasaki. It is a relaxing environment that captures the trade winds, keeping units naturally cool. Our property was developed as part of a larger project to renew and redevelop one of the city's oldest slums, a Five-block area bounded by six streets; School, Queen Emma, Kukui, Fort, Vineyard, College Walk and the Nuuanu Stream. With the goal of creating a thriving community without exorbitant rent. Its name is from the Monarch Queen Emma, who historically owned the land that induced Foster Botanical Gardens and Nuuanu Stream.
